Workplace Safety Audits

Employers need to establish an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) and have a program to successfully implement the system. Audits serve two primary purposes. They determine if the system is working and if not – why not. This is a critical component of any effective health & safety management system. Auditing helps to ensure continual compliance.

Training & Education

Management, supervisors and workers need to be trained in health & safety standards. We write and customize training to ensure clients and participants are provided with the specific knowledge to create diligence and maintain safety compliance. Working at Heights (WAH), First Aid, CPR, WHMIS and Supervisory Competence are examples of the critically important programs we customize for clients.

Policy / Procedures Development

We have a team of full-time subject matter experts that research, develop and design policy and procedures specific to the circumstances present, to ensure clients meet the legislated standards. Emergency Response

Our emergency preparedness and response program ensure your best interests are protected and delays are minimized. Chaos is not part of the process. Our emergency response system is methodical and designed to deal with very traumatic situations with a calculated and calm expertise. Remember, the actions YOU take in the aftermath of an emergency are extremely important and can impact eventual outcomes.

Investigations / Legal

Workplace investigations for critical and fatal accidents is a legal process. These should never be completed by inexperienced, untrained employees. Many reports are simply done improperly. Your company’s well being, corporate brand and your reputation are immediately at risk when unforeseen events lead to tragedy. Many critical injuries and ALL fatal injury investigations should be conducted under privilege. Intricate and exhaustive detail is the expected standard. Anything less places you and your company at risk.

WSIB EXCELLENCE / COR™ 2020

Our skilled and knowledgeable staff can assist your company in designing and implementing a Health & Safety Management System that will not only help achieve legal compliance, but can also assist in obtaining certifications through the WSIB Excellence program and/or COR. Training and educating your workforce provides many benefits and can be incentivized by the WSIB.

Failure to provide machine guarding is an offence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Industrial Establishments Regulation (Regulation 851); failure to comply with orders by an inspector is also an offence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
